The TCTQA12340 combines a 1/2' female input and 1/2' male output with a substantial 7-340Nm measuring range, making it suitable for a wide variety of medium- to high-torque fastening applications. Anti-clockwise accuracy: 2.5%.
Torque warning system: The LED begins flashing and the buzzer sounds once approximately 80% of the selected torque value is reached. The warning becomes progressively faster as the selected value is approached and becomes continuous at 100%.
Peak data storage: Torque readings can be saved and recalled when operating in Peak mode. Data saving is not available in Tracking or Pre-set modes.
Battery indication: Replace the batteries when the battery indicator shows only one of its three bars.
Low-voltage protection: The gauge automatically switches off if battery voltage drops below approximately 2.2V.
Calibration recommendation: To maintain accuracy, calibration is recommended once a year, after unusual handling or overloading, or after approximately 5000 cycles.
Storage and care: Keep the gauge protected from harsh chemicals, moisture, excessive heat and vibration.

Pro Tips

Switch the gauge on before applying any force. Applying load before start-up can create an offset reading that will require resetting.
Apply torque with a slow, smooth and steady pull or push rather than a sudden movement for better control.
Use Pre-set mode for repetitive fastening work where the same torque value needs to be achieved several times.
Use Peak mode when you want to capture and review the maximum torque applied during a tightening operation.
Always confirm the specified tightening torque from the vehicle, machine or component manufacturer before starting work.
Avoid extensions that move the centre of the fastener away from the centreline of the drive, as this can alter the effective torque applied.
Protect the gauge from drops or heavy impacts, as physical shock can affect measuring accuracy.

How to Use

Install two AAA 1.5V batteries in the battery compartment, observing the correct positive and negative orientation.
Press the P/C button to switch on the digital torque gauge. Press P/C again if the displayed reading needs to be cleared or reset.
Press the M button to cycle through and select Tracking, Peak or Pre-set operating mode.
When setting a target torque, use the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the required value.
Press the U/S button to confirm the torque setting and select the required measurement unit: Nm, lbf.ft, lbf.in or kgf.cm.
Fit the required socket or drive accessory to the square drive. Use one of the supplied adaptors where necessary.
Place the socket securely onto the fastener and apply a slow, steady force through the hand-operated drive tool.
At approximately 80% of the selected torque value, the LED and buzzer begin signalling. The warning increases in frequency as the target is approached.
Stop applying force when the required torque has been reached and the LED and buzzer give the continuous target indication. Do not continue tightening beyond the required value.
When using Peak mode, the maximum torque value remains displayed and can be saved using the Mode/Save button for later recall.
