Clockwise accuracy: 2%.
Anti-clockwise accuracy: 2.5%.
Torque warning system: Once approximately 80% of the selected torque value is reached, the LED begins flashing and the buzzer sounds. The indication becomes progressively faster as the target is approached and becomes continuous at 100%.
Peak data storage: Torque values can be saved and recalled while using Peak mode. Data storage is not available in Tracking or Pre-set modes.
Battery indication: Replace the batteries when the battery indicator displays only one of its three bars.
Low-voltage protection: The gauge automatically switches off if battery voltage falls below approximately 2.2V.
Calibration: To help maintain accuracy, calibration is recommended once a year, after unusual handling or overloading, or after approximately 5000 cycles.
Care and storage: Protect the gauge from harsh chemicals, moisture, high heat, vibration and accidental drops.

Pro Tips

Always switch the gauge on before applying force. Loading the gauge before start-up may result in an offset value that needs to be cleared.
Apply torque using a slow, smooth and steady pull or push rather than a sudden movement for better control.
Use Pre-set mode when repeating fastening operations to the same specified torque value.
Use Peak mode when you need to capture and review the maximum torque reached during a fastening operation.
Always confirm the correct torque requirement from the vehicle, machine or component manufacturer before tightening.
Avoid extensions that move the centre of the fastener away from the centreline of the drive, as this can alter the effective torque applied.
Keep the gauge protected from drops and impacts, as unusual handling can affect its accuracy and may require recalibration.

How to Use

Install two AAA 1.5V batteries in the battery compartment, observing the correct positive and negative orientation.
Press the P/C button to switch on the digital torque gauge. Press P/C while the gauge is on if the displayed value needs to be cleared.
Press the M button repeatedly to select Tracking, Peak or Pre-set mode.
When selecting a target torque value, use the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the setting.
Press the U/S button to confirm the torque selection and to cycle through Nm, lbf.ft, lbf.in or kgf.cm.
Fit the appropriate socket or drive attachment to the gauge. Use one of the supplied adaptors when required.
Position the socket securely on the fastener and apply a slow, steady force through the hand-operated drive tool.
At approximately 80% of the selected torque value, the LED and buzzer begin signalling. The warning becomes faster as the target value is approached.
Stop applying force when the selected torque value has been reached and the LED and buzzer provide the continuous indication. Do not continue tightening beyond the required value.
When using Peak mode, the maximum torque value remains displayed and can be saved using the Mode/Save button for later recall.
