Anti-clockwise accuracy: 2.5%.
Torque warning: The LED flashes and buzzer sounds once approximately 80% of the selected torque value is reached. The indication becomes progressively faster as the target is approached and becomes continuous at 100%.
Peak data storage: Saving and recalling torque readings is available in Peak mode. Track and Pre-set modes do not provide the same data-saving function.
Battery indication: Replace the batteries when the battery indicator shows only one of its three bars.
Low-voltage protection: The gauge automatically switches off if battery voltage drops below approximately 2.2V.
Calibration: To help maintain measuring accuracy, calibration is recommended once a year, after unusual handling or overloading, or after approximately 5000 cycles.
Storage: Keep the gauge clean and protected from harsh chemicals, moisture, high heat and vibration.

Pro Tips

Switch the gauge on and allow it to initialise before applying force. Applying load before start-up can create an offset reading that must be cleared.
Apply torque using a slow, smooth and steady pull or push rather than a sudden movement for more controlled results.
For repeated fastening work, use Pre-set mode and allow the LED and buzzer to guide you progressively towards the target value.
Use Peak mode when you want to record the maximum torque reached during an individual tightening operation.
Always check the required tightening torque from the vehicle, equipment or component manufacturer before starting work.
Avoid drive extensions that move the fastener centre away from the centreline of the drive, as this can alter the effective torque applied.
For dependable long-term accuracy, protect the gauge from drops and impacts and keep its calibration schedule up to date.

How to Use

Install two AAA 1.5V batteries in the battery compartment, observing the correct positive and negative orientation.
Press the P/C button to switch on the digital torque gauge. If necessary, press P/C again to clear the displayed value before applying torque.
Press the M button to cycle through and select Tracking, Peak or Pre-set mode.
When setting a target torque, use the + and - buttons to increase or decrease the required value, then confirm the selection using the U/S button.
Press the U/S button as required to select the preferred measurement unit: Nm, lbf.ft, lbf.in or kgf.cm.
Fit the appropriate socket or drive attachment to the gauge. Use one of the supplied drive adaptors when required.
Place the socket securely onto the fastener and apply a slow, steady force through the hand-operated drive tool. Do not use a sudden movement.
As approximately 80% of the pre-set value is reached, the LED and buzzer begin signalling. The warning increases in frequency as the target is approached.
Stop applying force when the required torque has been reached and the LED and buzzer give the continuous target indication. Do not continue tightening beyond the required value.
When using Peak mode, the peak value remains displayed and can be saved using the Mode/Save button for later recall.
