The Maykestag Code 4669 Speedtap Universal is a high-performance machine rolling tap for forming metric ISO threads to DIN 13. Unlike a conventional cutting tap, the rolling tap creates the thread by controlled displacement of the workpiece material rather than removing material as chips. This chipless process is particularly useful in suitable ductile materials where clean, repeatable internal thread production is required. The Code 4669 series is manufactured from cobalt-alloyed HSS-E Co8 and protected by a TiCN coating for demanding professional production use.

Designed for Controlled Chipless Thread Forming

The M5 Speedtap forms the thread by progressively displacing material as the Form C lead enters the prepared hole.
