Extra Information

• This is a manual-ranging multimeter; select a range higher than the expected measurement before testing.
• Use the COM and VΩmA terminals for voltage, resistance, continuity, diode and applicable low-current measurements.
• Use the dedicated 10A terminal only when measuring current with the appropriate 10A range selected.
• Voltage is measured with the multimeter connected in parallel, while current is measured with the meter connected in series.
• Resistance, continuity and diode testing must only be performed on de-energised circuits or disconnected components.
• The CAT III 600V marking applies only when the meter is used correctly with suitably rated test leads and within all marked limits.
• The instrument is specified for indoor operation at altitudes below 2000m.

Safety

• Wear appropriate eye protection and electrically rated personal protective equipment for the circuit and working environment.

• Do not use the multimeter if its casing, display, input terminals, probes or test leads are damaged.
• Keep fingers behind the protective guards on the test probes during measurements.
• Never measure voltage while the red test lead is connected to the 10A input terminal.
• Disconnect circuit power before measuring resistance, checking continuity or testing diodes.
• Discharge capacitors and confirm that stored electrical energy has been removed before testing.
• Do not change functions, ranges or test-lead terminal positions while connected to a hazardous live circuit.
• Do not use this CAT III meter on circuits requiring a higher measurement category or voltage rating.
• Replace internal protection components only with components of the specified type and rating.
• If you are not trained to work safely on electrical systems, have the testing performed by a qualified electrician.
