Tork Craft TCWE2406 24mm Wire End Brush for Drills - Maximum 4500 RPM

At a Glance: Designed for use in a drill. Maximum permissible speed: 4500 RPM. Compact 24mm wire end brush with a 6mm shaft for drill-driven rust removal, flaking paint removal and surface cleaning. Supplied in blister packaging.

DRILL USE ONLY. MAXIMUM SPEED: 4500 RPM. Secure the 6mm shaft in a suitable drill chuck and select a speed that stays within this limit, including when the brush is running without contact with the workpiece.

Turn your drill into a practical surface cleaning tool with the Tork Craft TCWE2406 Wire End Brush. Its compact 24mm brush width makes it useful for focused cleaning on smaller areas, edges and accessible recesses, while the 6mm shaft fits a suitable drill chuck. The rotating wire bristles help loosen rust, flaking paint, dirt and surface deposits, making this a useful accessory for maintenance, restoration and preparation before refinishing. Suitable corded and cordless drills provide the driving power, allowing you to work with controlled speed and light pressure. This brush is intended for drill use and must never exceed 4500 RPM.

What is a wire end brush?

A wire end brush has a compact bundle of wire bristles positioned at the end of a shaft-mounted holder. This shape directs the brushing action into a relatively small working area, making it useful for targeted cleaning around edges, details and accessible recesses.

The TCWE2406 is mounted directly in a suitable drill chuck using its 6mm shaft. Start at a low speed and increase gradually only as needed, always keeping the speed at or below the 4500 RPM maximum.

Product highlights

  • For drill use: Fits suitable corded and cordless drills with a chuck capable of securely gripping the 6mm shaft.
  • 4500 RPM maximum speed: This limit applies throughout operation, including free-running speed before the brush touches the surface.
  • Compact 24mm brush: Provides a focused brushing area for smaller cleaning tasks.
  • 6mm shaft: Allows direct mounting in a compatible drill chuck.
  • Rust and paint removal: Helps remove surface rust, loose paint and dirt from suitable surfaces.
  • Blister packaging: Supplied as a single wire end brush in a retail blister pack.

Compatibility

  • Corded drills: Suitable when the chuck securely accepts the 6mm shaft and the selected speed remains within 4500 RPM.
  • Cordless drills: Suitable when the chuck and speed settings meet the same requirements.
  • Rotary drilling mode: Operate with hammer or percussion action switched off.
  • Surface suitability: Check that wire brushing is appropriate for the material and required finish. Test a small area before proceeding.

Features

  • Drill-mounted wire end brush: Designed for powered brushing with a suitable drill.
  • 24mm brush width: Compact size for targeted surface cleaning.
  • 6mm shaft: Secures in a compatible drill chuck.
  • Maximum speed of 4500 RPM: Defines the upper operating speed limit for this brush.
  • Wire bristle cleaning action: Helps loosen rust, flaking paint and surface contamination.

Benefits

  • Convenient powered cleaning: Uses a compatible drill to assist with repetitive brushing tasks.
  • Focused access: The compact end brush shape helps you work on smaller areas and accessible recesses.
  • Useful surface preparation: Removes loose deposits before further cleaning or refinishing.
  • Controlled working technique: A variable-speed drill allows you to begin gently and adjust the brushing action within the permitted speed limit.

Application

  • Removing surface rust from suitable metal components.
  • Removing loose and flaking paint before refinishing.
  • Cleaning dirt and surface deposits from brackets, fittings and other small components.
  • Targeted cleaning around edges and accessible recesses.
  • Selected cleaning tasks on wood, stone and concrete where wire brushing is appropriate; test first because the brush can alter the surface texture.

Extra Information

  • Maximum speed: 4500 RPM is the upper limit. Begin at a lower speed and use only the speed needed for effective cleaning.
  • Check the drill settings: Confirm the speed range in the drill&s instructions. The brush must remain within its speed limit when running freely and during contact with the workpiece.
  • Use light pressure: Let the wire tips perform the cleaning. Excessive pressure can bend the bristles, increase wear and reduce control.
  • Surface appearance: Wire brushing can leave marks or change the texture. Test first on delicate, decorative or finished surfaces.
  • Inspect regularly: Replace the brush if the shaft is bent, the holder is damaged or the wire bundle is loose or excessively worn.

Pro Tips

  • Start slowly: Use a low drill speed for the first pass and assess the result before increasing speed within the 4500 RPM limit.
  • Keep the brush moving: Use short, controlled passes to avoid concentrating the brushing action in one spot.
  • Secure small parts: Clamp the workpiece so both hands can control the drill.
  • Check difficult areas carefully: Ensure there is enough clearance for the rotating brush and holder before entering a recess.
  • Clean after brushing: Remove loosened debris and follow the coating manufacturer&s preparation instructions before painting or refinishing.

How to Use

  • Isolate the drill: Unplug a corded drill or remove the battery from a cordless drill before fitting the brush.
  • Inspect the accessory: Check the shaft, holder and wire bristles for damage, looseness or excessive wear.
  • Fit the brush: Insert the 6mm shaft into a compatible chuck and tighten securely according to the drill&s instructions. Check that the shaft is held straight.
  • Secure the workpiece: Clamp loose components and clear the surrounding area of people and unnecessary objects.
  • Set the drill: Select rotary drilling mode with hammer action switched off. Choose a low starting speed and ensure the speed cannot exceed 4500 RPM.
  • Check operation: Reconnect the power and briefly run the brush clear of the workpiece. Stop immediately if it vibrates excessively or appears incorrectly fitted.
  • Begin brushing: Bring the rotating wire tips into gentle contact with the surface. Use light pressure and controlled movement.
  • Inspect progress: Work in short passes and check the surface regularly. Adjust the speed only within the 4500 RPM limit.
  • Stop safely: Release the trigger and wait until the brush stops completely before putting the drill down.
  • Remove and store: Isolate the drill before removing the brush. Clear away debris and store the accessory in a dry place.
